The majestic olive tree with its gnarled trunks and bountiful branches produces the original superfood, olive oil. Entwined in Greek history and culture for almost 4,000 years, olive oil through millennia connected this land to its people. Classical Greek physician, Hippocrates - considered outstanding in the history of medicine - recommended olive oil for 60 uses and the poet Homer coined the phrase, 'liquid gold'.

When two young men, Costantino and Dimitris, met by chance volunteering at the 2004 Olympic Games, neither envisaged a lasting friendship and the creation of Ancient Orchards. One had travelled from far-off New Zealand to relish the return again of the modern Olympics to Greece, the other from its birthplace, ancient Olympia.

Their mission today is to offer authentic, quality Greek food products to the consumer, supported by an unfailing commitment to customer service.
